Byotol signs deal with Cedar Care Homes
24th Oct 2006Byotrol plc, the leading antimicrobial technology company has signed a deal with exclusive care home provider, Cedar Care Homes for the use of its assure range across all its residential homes.
Based in the South West area, the organisation contains a group of six independent care homes. High standards of care and services have been developed through 15 years of experience and understanding of the needs of the people Cedar Care Homes look after.
With its high standards in exclusive settings, Cedar Care Homes selected Byotrol's assure range to ensure that its high technology product would provide safety for their residents. The spread of MRSA and other pathogens represents a major risk within the care home environment and Cedar Care Homes selected Byotrol's assure range to ensure preventative measures were in place.
The assure range includes hand held sprays available in 750ml trigger spray bottles, a hand sanitising mousse in a 600ml bootle of handy pocket sized 50ml pump action and assure cleaning and sanitising wipes ideal for cleaning equipment including wheelchairs and zimmer frames.
The deodorising products offer similar levels of long term efficacy and the chemicals used in the formulation of Byotrol products are suitable for use on a wide variety of fabrics and materials and do not damage or mark the materials during or after usage. The deodoriser is highly effective in eliminating urine odours from carpets and fabrics, a key issue for many care home operators.
The assure range offers sanitisation and deodorisation in a variety of situations. All products offer long-lasting protection against a broad spectrum of micro-organisms including E. coli, Legionella and Listeria, as well as MRSA. The deodorising products are also highly effective at eliminating odours from a wide range of surfaces and furnishings.
Byotrol's products have been proven through a programme of independent testing to be effective for up to seven days after application and work against a wide range of micro-organisms. The products are not toxic to humans and significantly the technology does not promote resistance in susceptible micro-organisms.
Also unlike many rival products, Byotrol does not contain alcohol which can dry the skin as well as discouraging users from applying it to open cuts because of the resulting stinging sensation. Open cuts are a major source of infection transfer and the fact that Byotrol does not contain alcohol is a major advantage over antimicrobial products.
